CUPE is a strong advocate of Literacy and Lifelong Learning. Research shows literacy leads to success in life. On Family Literacy Day take the time to read to each other or to your child or play a literacy activity.

To participate, you are asked to package non-perishable food items and place them outside your home in locations highly visible from the road, away from your garbage, by 8 a.m. on your garbage day. City staff will collect the donations beginning at 8 a.m.
If you live in an apartment building, you should ask your building manager to organize a collection area and to contact 311 (754-CITY) to arrange a pickup.
Food items can also be dropped off during the week at City Hall, the H.G.R. Mews, Southlands or Kilbride Lions Community Centres.
The City and Councillors will post daily tallies on social media using #nlfooddrive.
